All of the coaches at Cincinnati Hockey Academy enjoy passing on their love and experience in the sport of hockey. They are all extremely knowledgeable and will do everything possible to help your child grow. To them hockey is more than a sport, it’s a family!

KEVIN BRENNAN: CO-FOUNDER/CHA COACH
Kevin was born and raised in Kalamazoo, MI. He currently resides in Cincinnati, Ohio with his wife and two kids. Kevin has been playing and/or coaching hockey for over 30 years. He most recently helped coach the Cincinnati Swords, Learn to Play and Mite programs.

His playing career consisted mostly of travel hockey in the Midwest. Kevin played for the Kalamazoo Stars, Kalamazoo Wings, Lansing Capitals and was part of the first season for the Lansing Capital Center Pride. He helped lead the Lansing Capitals to a State Championship in 2001. His career quickly changed to coaching and supporting local hockey organizations when he decided to take an academic scholarship to Western Michigan University. Kevin quickly excelled as a travel hockey coach while attending WMU.

Kevin’s passion is to help youth hockey grow in the Cincinnati area; focusing on individual skills, total hockey sense and most importantly making sure the game is FUN for youth players.

ROD RAYNER: CO-FOUNDER/CHA COACH
Rod grew up playing hockey in Bowling Green, Ohio. He has been actively involved with youth hockey around Cincinnati for the past 11 years. His coaching career includes 6 years with the Northern Kentucky Norse and the last 5 years with the Cincinnati Swords. He has 3 children that have all played or are currently playing for either for the NKY Norse or Cincinnati Swords.

Rod's goal is to develop and grow the Cincinnati hockey community while establishing long lasting relationships. He started CHA to provide more development opportunities for the greater Cincinnati youth hockey players at a reasonable cost.

MICHAEL FALK: CHA COACH
Michael has spent many years involved with Hockey. Starting up in Michigan with “AAA” hockey at a young age which as a player led to “Jr A” hockey and on to a scholarship at Bowling Green State University. After BGSU he had spent 2 years playing professional hockey in the CHL and ECHL.

As a coach, Michael was an assistant with the Cleveland Barons organization for two seasons (2010-2012) with their Bantam age group. Most recently he rejoined coaching with the Cincinnati Swords mite program.
